Ten Commandments of Performing

for Incoming Choirs 

1.       Do not eat and drink from paper/plastic cups or plates in view of patrons.   

2.       Bring metal or wooden mugs and bowls or eat in a designated rest area.

3.       Do not smoke except in a designated rest area.

4.       Do not wear tennis shoes with your costume. 

5.       Do not carry purses, gym bags or instrument cases in view of patrons. The                 Festival provides a building where you may store these items while you perform. 

6.       No taped music or sound effects are allowed.

7.       We perform rain or shine.  Please bring capes and other appropriate rain or cold weather gear. 

8.       Do not make references to the outside world (i.e. phones, TV shows, etc.).

9.       In all actions help create a feeling of a 16th century village.  Do nothing that is considered an obstacle to that goal.  Please remember that this is a theatrical event - not just a school concert.

10.     As your character, have a wonderful time!  Help the patrons to enjoy our shire of Canterbury!
