We are thrilled to welcome choirs from all around the Midwest from Colleges and High Schools looking for a unique venue to perform Renaissance music! Join us by completing the form below and submitting it for review by our Entertainment Department. This form is for organized, educational choirs only. Tell us when you'd like to perform and we'll let you know the Wednesday before that weekend where your group is scheduled. Just check back right here each week for the updated schedule. Don't worry, we usually can get your group in the day you request. But you do need to come back here to find the time and location.
In addition to seven weekends, these dates include Labor Day & Columbus Day.
Week Three~September 15 and 16
If your group is interested in performing this year, please complete the following:
What dates would you like to perform?
What type of presentation will your group perform (such as dance, vocal, instrumental)?
How many performers in your group?
How many tickets will you require? (Please include directors and chaperones: Two for each person. One to get in the day you perform and one for another day or someone else)
How many times would your group like to perform during the day?
(Four 30-minute shows are the norm)
Ideally for you, what time would your last show of the day end?
What additional requirements do you have?
The Special Performance Group named above agrees to the following:
The Special Performance Group named above agrees to the following:
1) In addition to performing, to attend other Festival activities on the above dates, including but not limited to, Morning Meeting, Opening Gate Ceremony, Parade and Closing Gate Ceremony (Last Huzzah).
2) Wear appropriate period costumes.
3) Obey the Festival’s Ten Commandments of Performing.
4) Allow the use of the group’s name, image, presentation, likeness, voice, and musical/sound effects for purposes of advertising, promotion, trade and/or commercial utilization of the Festival.
5) Use only music considered PUBLIC DOMAIN unless you have received written permission from the composer, publisher or licensing agent of each song. The Festival assumes no responsibility for violations of copyright laws.
6) Assume all risks associated with the preparation for and participation in the Festival, including but not limited to, the condition of the Festival premises, actions of participants and patrons, and the effects of weather. Knowing these risks and in consideration of the Festival, The Contractor waives and releases the Festival, its owners, officers, agents, employees, affiliated companies, sponsors (all Releases Persons) from claims, damages, losses and expenses of any kind arising from Contractor’s performance or non-performance of this contract or caused partially or entirely by neglect, acts or omissions of Contractor, Contractor’s agents and employees, even though caused in part by a Related Person.
7) Reads and follows the Ten Commandments of Choir Performers
The Festival agrees to provide the following:
1) A one-day ticket (for each performing day) for each performer, director and chaperone.
2) One complimentary ticket for each performing member and director. These tickets may be used at any time at the Front Gate entrance. Total of two tickets per person: One to use the day you perform (as your pass in) and one to use at your discretion!
3) One annual participant medallion for each performing member and director.
This agreement contains the entire understanding of the parties and no oral representation not contained herein shall be binding on the parties. Failure to comply with the terms of this agreement and the rules and policies of the Kansas City Renaissance Festival shall result in cancellation of the agreement.
