What do you do, your main function in life/society: I be da Queen d' Vulgaria. My only function is dis living is to please my husband da King, and to care for my precious Petronella. I vish for her to have a good marriage like mine.

Have you ever gone skinny-dipping / do you know how to swim: I know not how to svim. I am to bathing once a month in da vater, but is enough for me. I do not like da vater much.

Do you make fun of people: Dis is I am to thinking not very nice. I love all da peoples of the vorld, and vould rather to having fun vith dem than making da fun of them.

Favorite Color: I have always loved da color blue, as it is da color of my King's eyes. But for me to chose one color vhen dere be so many... I could not be saying I have a favorite.

Have you ever committed or been convicted of a crime: Before I became Queen, I did once steal radish from farmer's field for I was very great vith the hungers. But I did not get caught and I did make dis farmer royal redeeska farmer to King out of my guilt.

Closest friends/How did you meet: I vas to meeting my best of all friends Zorina during the Dragaica. In Vulgaria ve celebrate da harvest by adorning da most beautiful girl in da village with fruit. All da girls vould to run behind de dyevooshka vearing da fruit through da village to bringing good luck. Because I vas da most beautiful girl in all the village, many a year I vas to be vearing da fruit. One jealous girl did threaten to making me fall vhen I was to run, Zorina vas to making her fall first. Ve had such good laugh over da jealous girl falling dat each year I was to vear the fruit Zorina vould carry a big stick to trip a jealous girl. Ve have been friends ever since and now dat I am Queen she does say to me is time for me to carry stick.

One Pillow or two: I am preferring many pillows but my dear moozh only likes for da two in da bed.

Pets: I was gifted once with beautiful black and white medvyed from China. Dis animal likes to eat bamboo which to me vas very strange because the medvyed of Vulgaria prefer meat.

Favorite Type of Music: Dere be a tseegaan violinist named George dat pleases me greatly, with his beautiful playing.

Hobbies/Pastimes: As a voman of Vulgaria I am vell to doing my veesheevka. We sit for hours doing veesheevka around the fire vith other vomen. My beautiful Petronella vill have many fine linens vith my own veesheevka for her dowry.

Personal Hygiene: I take to vaters only once per month if it is needed or not. Any more vould be unhealthy.

Favorite Food: My favorite food is leg of lamb with golden truffle sauce.

Are your parents alive, do you get along with them: My parents are still living, thank God, if you can say dey live. But I am not to seeing them very often. Mats and Paapa are very quiet and proper, I am to thinking they vould rather to stay home than come to castle vith loud feasts and celebrations.

If your parents are dead, when and how did they die: They are still living a quiet life in da country.

Favorite place to relax: I am to enjoying to dress in my old peasant clothes and for time to be amongst my people in da market place. I do so love the noise, color and excitement of da market. For me it is very relaxing.

Favorite Holy Day / Why: I am to liking Martisor. Dis is traditional Vulgarian holiday to celebrate de end of vinter and da beginning of da summer. On dis day we give to da dyevooshka little gifts to bring good luck for da year.

Favorite Drink: I am to liking the Chinese tea. It be green leaves boiled in very hot vater and drank sometimes cold.

What's your bedtime: I am to bed when I am tired, sometimes very late. Dere be many a night dat I am to vriting or reading by da candle light. I am having many plans to make for my dear Petronella's vedding.

What, if anything, do you usually wear on your feet: When it is cold I am to wearing boots, but I do like very much de beautiful slippers from China.

Are you married or single: I am very happy to be married to King Salmonella d'Vulgaria.

Do you have a family / who are they: I have many family. My good husband, my beautiful, precious, delicate flower Petronella, my parents, my in-laws and of course various cousins through out the land.

Favorite Entertainment: I am to liking shopping very much. Vulgarians are proud but very poor. So for me to give riches away would insult my people. So my dear Petronella and I do pay too much monies for things we like, thanks to God ve have been blessed vith much prosperity.

Favorite Subject in School or Chore growing up: I am to loving reesavaats which is all there is to do in da long vinter months of Vulgaria. Da castle walls are where all of my work hangs, my favorite is of my home and da mountains in Chisinau.

Least Favorite Subject in School or Chore growing up: I am not to liking any chores involving ooborenaya. When I was very poor peasant girl I had to empty ooborenaya and da smell did make me sick. Now I have servants to do dis, but I am feeling very sad for them... radishes make awful smell.

Favorite Sport: I am to loving the jousting to watch.

Most Humiliating Moment: My dear husband came to my village in search of a vife. He did come to my father and I vas sent from da room. I did not go far and listened through very solid door. I could not hear very well. Vhen my husband vas to asking permission to marry me I did think he was to asking my father to chop off my hand. (it may not seem common but Prince Vlad's family has been known to do such things) I vas so scared of dis dat I did not to see my husband for several veeks. Vhen I did see him next he was to thinking I vas not to vant to marry him, so I had to ask him to marry me. No Vulgarian voman would be to asking a man to marry her... most embarassing

Proudest Moment: My vedding day, da birth of my darling Petronella, da day her engagement to Prince Claude vas decided, but none compare to Petronella's "first bath". First Bath is important ritual for new baby. Petronella vas vashed in fresh water, with roses, milk, honey and gold coins. My King's grandmother a vise and charmed tseegaanka performed the ritual just three days before her death. She blessed our family with much good fortune so that we did become King and Queen of Vulgaria. Petronella was so blessed dat she did find the golden Truffle and is now to marry Angleeskee Prince.

Craziest Person or silliest you know: Zorina is da craziest person I do know. She does carry a stick every where she goes... in case she is in need of it.

What do you look for in the opposite sex: I am not looking for I have found da perfect husband in my good King. But for my daughter I to looking for man to be kind hearted as her father, to love life as ve do, and most of all to love my sweet delicate Petronella as much as any man could.

In our Hierarchical Society everybody has somebody "over" them, Who is your immediate "overlord" My King and husband is my Nachaalneek.

Favorite Sport: Jousting is to my liking, although my good King says it is because I am to liking the handsome knights. I think he is correct.

Do you remember your first kiss: Although my first patselooee should have been vit my dear husband on our vedding day, I must confess it vas not to be. When I was running for da Dragaica a handsome malcheek did chase me down and kiss me. It was very nice kiss until Zorina hit him with her big stick. No malcheek would ever kiss me again because of Zorina and her big stick.

Do you keep in touch with your childhood friends: Zorina and I do go shopping in da market when I am not too busy helping my husband to rule Vulgaria.

Where is your favorite "Vacation" spot: I have traveled with my dear moozh to many places, but my favorite place would be Madagascar. The Empress is a good cousin, and very forgiving. Ve did once to give her a beautiful Vulgarian bear... it ate her favorite lemur. But she still vas not angry and invites us to spend the cold vinters of Vulgaria vith her in sunny Madagascar.

Have you ever been overseas: I have traveled many times vith husband to sell our truffles. I am to liking traveling very much.

Do you have Dirt/Mud floors or Stone: stone floors in palace now, but dirt for many years

What is your bed made of: Vulgarian fir, it is tree of life and keeps me close to ancestors

How many people sleep in your bed:  I am usually alone, but often good husband, Petronella vhen she is frightened, and sometimes pets

1. I am to loving life very much and seek pleasure in all things. I am hardly ever sad or unhappy because I can find goodness in all things.

2. A paramour of Vlad's grandfather, jealous of my beauty, put a curse on me dat I vould have no children. I vas to loving Vlad's grandfather but as a poor farmer's daughter a match could not be made vith a Prince. (some tseeganka believe Vlad himself is immortal, and it vas himself I did love so many years ago) My tseeganka grandmother reversed the curse allowing me to be having one child a girl. I am to knowing dat my Petronella did love Vlad, but her ateyets vould not arrange da match. Aside from da impaling I am to liking Vlad- he reminds me of his handsome grandfather.

3. Burping and farting are to me compliments. It means to me dat da food was well eaten. I vould be insulted if you did not burp or fart at my table. Ve do not saying "excuse me" ve are to saying "blagoi" vhen ve are to burping or farting.

4. My daughter Petronella is to getting married to the Prince of England. I am very sad dat I am to losing daughter, but very happy to gain new family of gypsies and royalty.

5. I am to not liking Turkish people. Dey have invaded my country many times. A praaklaateeye on the Turks. *spits on ground*

6. I am to buying many things, sometimes I vill even pay a person for to smiling at me nicely. It is habit from Vulgaria because ve our proud, but poor people. I can not give money like charity to Vulgarian so I find excuse to give money and say I am to buying something from dem.

7. I am to believing very much in gypsy curses and blessings. Both have brought me good fortune and heartache. I am to always seeking out a gypsy blessing.

8. My husband and I are Orthodox Christian, not Catholic like all of Canterbury.

9. If you meet me on da street be prepared to have traditional Vulgarian greeting. (a zerbert on each cheek)

10. I vas not always queen of Vulgaria, I vas born very poor. I married husband who vas much older and had only one child because of curse. But blessings on child brought us more vealth than anyone in Vulgaria so da people asked us to be King and Queen. I am very happy to be Queen, but I often act like peasant. In Vulgaria dere is saying you can take dyevooshka out of radish field, but cannot take redeeska out of dyvooshka.
