Name Given at Birth: Her Royal Highness, Princess Elizabeth Margaret Isabel Rose Tudor, 1st daughter of the King, Duchess of Kensington Nicknames: Liz or Lizzie Hometown or where you were born: I was born in London. Current Residence: I have always and do currently reside at Whitehall Palace in London. Age: I was born of Queen Eleanor February 7, in the year of our Lord 1578. I be 18 years of age. Class: Royalty What do you do, your main function in life/society: I do diligently ponder my studies, always appear in the latest and most complimentary fashions (to of course, further my beauty), and strive to be the finest daughter of England that I may be. That is, until I do fulfill my royal duty by becoming the bride of Spain. Have you ever gone skinny-dipping / do you know how to swim: Nay, that I have not, though I have heard some of my mother's ladies speak of this act and a certain elder brother... Do you make fun of people: Never within earshot...I am my father's daughter, after all. Favorite Color: Purple, for this is the symbol of my family as well as my birthrite. Have you ever committed or been convicted of a crime: Of course I have not! A proper and well-raised daughter of England would never perform such a travesty! Does borrowing a broach from my sister and not returning it mean stealing? Closest friends/How did you meet: I do share a close and very dear relationship with my sister, Margaret, who is but one year my junior. Indeed, many secrets, both large and small she and I have shared through the years. A particularly large and scandalous one she does possess at this time. Since I was young, I have developed a sense of endearment and protection for my gentle brother, Claude. My parents, who are most generous and kind, as well as my well-meaning, beautiful sisters I also hold most dear. I have a strong admiration for my most beloved auntie, Princess Jane Petre of France. Over the last six months, I have also developed a most friendly bond with Lady Isabella of Spain, who had arrived at Court a short while ago to deliver education to me of life in the Spanish Court. Oh yes, I do suppose the proper and political action would be to note Eric as a close friend, which he is indeed. You must understand that for so many years, I have very much enjoyed the constant bickering and ridicule that does occur between myself and Eric. I would not behave so in his presence if he were not so easily perturbed. Ah, I shall miss very much turning Eric brown hairs and noble shade of gray... One Pillow or two: As many as I desire. I am, after all, the daughter of a king. Pets: Aye, indeed, Father quite frequently speaks of the most marvelous menagerie of the "Royal Brood"! My contributions are as follows: a most beautiful and striking Arabian gelding, which I lovingly did name Buccephalus. He was a gift from the Empress of Madagascar and was named for the noble steed of Alexander the Great, a personnage of great interest to myself. A most pleasing and surprisingly amiable Egyptian cat whom I refer to as Isis, the Egyptian goddess of motherhood. She is most loving and does keep me warm on chilly nights in the castle. Favorite Type of Music: I do so prefer any music performed by my most gracious and talented mother, Her Majesty Queen Eleanor. Hobbies/Pastimes: I have spent many of my waking hours of late studying the life and manners of the Spanish Court. However, the occasional will call from time to time for leisure and frivolity. When these occasions do arise I often find myself studying literature, languages, and history, riding my horse (always within eyeshot of the castle, and accompanied by guards with a skilled blade), staging good-natured follies with Margaret (much to the disapproval of Eric), and enjoying the company of the family that I love and must leave within a week of the Harvest Festival in Canterbury. Personal Hygiene: That is not a suitable question to ask of a princess....I shall be reporting this misconduct to father! Favorite Food: Whilst I do so enjoy the foods we feast upon regularly in England, I do so adore the rare treats brought by Uncle Maestro on his undoubtedly exciting adventures. The most previous adventure to Greece brought a unique and entirely delicious dessert entitled "baklava". Uncle Maestro does promise to have delivered this delicacy at the Harvest Festival. Are your parents alive, do you get along with them: Aye, of course they are alive, God save the King! Long live the Queen! If your parents are dead, when and how did they die: If father were to die, then Eric would be king. Let us not even imagine that possibility. Favorite place to relax: I do enjoy the gardens of Whitehall Palace, lost in an intriguing work of literature. Favorite Holy Day / Why: Well, aside from the day of my birth, I do so favor Yule and Easter Sunday. On this day, we do feast upon rare delicacies and deliver presents to all the members of Court. Favorite Drink: Warm Honeyed Mead-but do not tell mother. She believes it to be a very weak perry. What's your bedtime: 8 and 30. A princess must supply herself with an abundant amount of sleep to maintain her beauty. Of course, I have found it difficult to find sleep on the evenings of rumored gypsy revels... What, if anything, do you usually wear on your feet: Only beautiful slippers of the finest materials Are you married or single: I was betrothed for several years (since I was 6), to the Louis, the Dauphin of France. Only one year ago, Louis lost a dreadful battle with the pox and the title of Crown Prince was passed on to his young brother, Francis, who was but 5. Father did decide to not accept a betrothal to the young Prince, much to my astounding relief. He therefore encouraged a hurried engagement to Phillip, Crown Prince and future King of Spain. Father and my future husband did both desire my immediate relocation to the Spanish Court. However, I did so wish to bear witness to the marriage of my dear brother, Claude, and begged father to allow this. He did consent on the understanding that I should be schooled daily on life in Spain by a superior teacher, Lady Isabella. I shall be leaving my country, family, and all I have known for Spain but 4 days after the wedding of Claude to the Princess of Vulgaria. Do you have a family / who are they: Do be prepared. My family members are as follows: Their Royal Majesties King Richard and Queen Eleanor of England, Crown Prince Eric, Prince Claude, and the Princesses Margaret, Constance, Christina, Katherine, Anne, Jane, and little Mary. I do also consider Father's cousins, Princess Jane and the Lady Marion as family. Sir William Highgate and our dear gammer, Mitri, do also love each of us. Favorite Entertainment: I do so enjoy the many theatrical performances at Whitehall. Margaret and I find the works of Master Shakespeare above all! Favorite Subject in School or Chore growing up: History and literature Least Favorite Subject in School or Chore growing up: Mathematics Favorite Sport: Is shopping considered a sport? Most Humiliating Moment: Must you inquire of this? I was at attendance at a "masked ball" hosted by my Uncle Maestro's gypsy troupe. This was the first of the revels I had attended and was most intrigued by the costume, dancing, and food of the gypsy people. As the evening continued, I did notice the eye of a curious gentleman gazing my way. I was at first, quite alarmed, for perhaps he did recognize me and would report my behavior to Father. He seemed not to know my identity, so I was much more relaxed when he did finally approach and begin conversation. After nearly an hour, this gentleman did request that I grant him a small favor-a kiss. My first kiss! Oh, how my heart pounded! I did grant his request and found it most enjoyable. I then asked for him to grant myself a boon-to reveal his identity. He consented and began to remove his mask. To my utter humiliation, he revealed himself to be-none other than my cousin, and Uncle Maestro's eldest son, Martino! To add to our humiliation, we were seen and stopped by none other than my mother, who was indeed, most upset at my shameful behavior. We did promise never to speak of this moment again to anyone. Somehow, of couse, Eric did learn of this incident and has yet given me opportunity to forget my actions. He believes that he shall prevent Margaret and myself from attending the secretly planned (by the Maestro, of course) midsummer revel. Ah, if Eric only knew the lack of power he does possess over his sister... Proudest Moment: I have been most proud twice-the days that it was public ally revealed that I was to become Queen of France-and then Spain. Craziest Person or silliest you know: I must not even think of this. My Uncle Maestro, for he is the only man I know brave (or insane) enough to defy my father. What do you look for in the opposite sex: Well, since my path has been chosen for me since I was aged 6, I do not find myself in search of a mate. Of course, a gentleman who can recite a beautiful sonnet and wield a strong blade of steel is always appreciated... In our Hierarchical Society everybody has somebody "over" them, Who is your immediate "overlord" My father, the King And how do you feel about that person: He is my loving and supportive father. I treasure him most dearly.Favorite Sport to watch: The Joust-squires, and knights, and horses-OH MY! Do you remember your first kiss: Did we not discuss this already? Please refer to my most embarrassing moment. Do you keep in touch with your childhood friends: My sisters, especially Margaret, are my dearest and closest friends. I do see them nearly each day. Where is your favorite "Vacation" spot: I have rarely left the walls of Whitehall Palace. I do so look forward to Canterbury and the Harvest Festival. Have you ever been overseas: Nay, but I shall travel to my new home in Spain before the year's end. Do you have Dirt/Mud floors or Stone: What is your bed made of: A light, delicate feather bed atop a strong, 4-poster frame. How many people sleep in your bed: Myself only for these last precious days of maidenhood. Margaret and I have stayed awake into the wee hours discussing the excitements and monotony of castle life.
