First Person Survey for: Mother Nature

Name Given at Birth: I was not "born", I was created at the beginning of time.

Nicknames:  I only allow certain enchanted ones to call me Mother for short

Hometown or where you were born:  I was created by the elements of the heavens when the earth was formed.

Current Residence: My current residence is the enchanted realm in Canterbury but I get bored easily and will probably go where there is excitement happening on the earth.

Age: I am as old as dirt,...... I mean the earth.

Class: There is no one over me except for a few of the gods and only because I allow it.

What do you do, your main function in life/society: I exist to oversee the creation of new life and to watch over the nasty elements so they don't get too far out of line. I love the young living beings who haven't been on the earth very long. I find their innocence refreshing.

Have you ever gone skinny-dipping / do you know how to swim: I swim in the world's oceans so I can visit my sea realm. Triton is a "special" friend of mine. Mother Nature likes to go "natural" at times.

Do you make fun of people: I never make jest of creatures on my earth, for I am bound by their health and welfare.

Favorite Color: My favorite "colors" are everything in the rainbow and all the colors in between.

Have you ever committed or been convicted of a crime: My only crime would be loving my creatures too much, however I'm not against a little punishment now and then when they get out of line.

Closest friends/How did you meet: As I said before, one of my closest friends is Triton. I met him when the oceans were being formed and he consulted me on how he should govern the sea creatures. I said to him that I thought he was being a little harsh having so many sharks and nothing to eat them except humans. After a heated debate I let him have his way with the sharks and with me. He's so adorable with that long white beard and all. I don't see him very often because we stay so busy but occasionally we'll take a long walk on the beach and catch up. I'm also very fond of the queen of the fae. I love the way she watches over her fairies and her kindness toward the animals of the forest. She is a little too patient with the children who wander into the wood but that is her nature. I was there of course when she was created and had a hand in her beauty.

One Pillow or two: I really never have time to sleep and besides, Mother Nature doesn't need beauty rest. I have to watch over the earth night and day because so many of the creatures of this world will not behave. I guess if I actually took a "nap", I would need more of a huge, giant pillow that would swallow up my whole body like a cloud.

Pets: I have so many pets that I love and care for. I have a simple dog that I particularly like. She's not really very attractive but very loving and obedient.

Favorite Type of Music: Big booming thunder is my favorite music. I like to dance in the rain during storms in beat to the loud thunder claps. When I'm in a mellow mood, the ocean waves hitting the shore with the sound of the birds is always delightful.

Hobbies/Pastimes: My favorite pastime is travel of course. I go all over the world to oversee the nature of things. I must admit I favor warm climates, so I spend a lot of time in the islands and of course I might catch a glimpse of Triton while I'm there. I also like to help the creatures make their nests and sleeping holes, which is always very interesting because they are forever changing their lodgings.

Personal Hygiene: Mother Nature always stays clean. I try to encourage my creatures to clean themselves but sometimes it's a hopeless cause. No matter how hard I try, I can't seem to teach pigs and some humans to wash themselves.

Favorite Food: I don't eat meat, I find that disgusting. I could never eat one of my creatures. I do eat things grown from the earth, however I really don't need to eat. I guess my favorite thing to eat would be those delicate little mushrooms that grow wild.

Are your parents alive, do you get along with them: I never had parents, for those are only for humans. I do appreciate those parents who are kind to their children and teach them with understanding.

If your parents are dead, when and how did they die: I feel so sorry for those humans who lose their parents. They seem to be so lost for a while and then they just have fond memories.

Favorite place to relax: I love to climb trees for the fun of it and when I do, I go to the very top and just sit and meditate and feel the wonderful wind on my face. I only sit on mountain tops that have no snow.

Favorite Holy Day / Why: Earth day is a good one and also May day when humans dance around the May pole. A Holy day to me is when humans recognize how important our earth is and all it's creatures.

Favorite Drink: I drink nectar from only the flowers who want to share and pure spring water that comes up directly from the earth.

What's your bedtime: I don't do beds but if I did it would be only a few hours at twilight.

What, if anything, do you usually wear on your feet: I don't really need shoes but I think they sometimes make feet look pretty and I like to be pretty. My favorite ones have flowers on the toes.

Are you married or single: I would never be "married" because I wouldn't want to have to share my responsibilities like married humans do. I like being wild and free.

Do you have a family / who are they: I have families all over the world. They are my children from the forest, the ocean, the desert, and meadow.

Favorite Entertainment: I like to play tricks now and then on humans but nothing that could harm them. Some think that Mother Nature is responsible for a lot of suffering in the world but evil is what makes the earth do things that harm people, such as floods and earthquakes. I refuse to take responsibility for this. I only do and create good things.

Favorite Subject in School or Chore growing up: I feel I've never been young so I never "grew up", however I love to garden and make things grow and teach other creatures to have fun while they work.

Least Favorite Subject in School or Chore growing up: I don't like it when humans won't listen to me when I'm being very obvious. I try to teach them lessons to better their lives but sometimes it's just useless. I hate laziness.

Favorite Sport: I sometimes like to throw lightening rods to see how far they will go. I also like to run as fast as I can to see if Triton can catch me.

Most Humiliating Moment: I once made a huge hole in the earth so that some of my fairies could have a revel and humans attributed it to a hole made by a flying saucer. I never made another one.

Proudest Moment: My proudest moment was when my beautiful Titania was born. It's so much fun to watch the creation of a fairie. I'm proud when I can be at attendance at any birth because I love creation.

Craziest Person or silliest you know: That Puck is pretty silly and my little friend and companion, Sprig, can also be amazingly silly. She makes me laugh with her antics.

What do you look for in the opposite sex: Long beard and hair with a bare chest and a tan. My men have to be sun-kissed!

In our Hierarchical Society everybody has somebody "over" them, Who is your immediate "overlord" I guess some of the gods are over me but I haven't let them know and I'm not about to tell them.

Favorite Sport to watch: Water Polo among the dolphins.

Do you remember your first kiss: I've been kissed by a few gods but my first kiss was from Triton. Boy can he kiss! I'm thinking he must have learned it from all those fish because he can really pucker! It was a little wet however but I didn't mind.

Do you keep in touch with your childhood friends: I try to keep in touch with everyone on earth. Even when I'm not physically present, most people and animals can sense my power on most days.

Where is your favorite "Vacation" spot: I have a favorite island that no one knows about and I can get away from it all when I need to. It has a fresh spring with a pool that I can swim in. I like lying in the sand with the water washing over me.

Have you ever been overseas: Of course, I've been over many seas!

Do you have Dirt/Mud floors or Stone: My favorite floor is the forest floor

What is your bed made of: My bed would be moss if I had one.

How many people sleep in your bed: Occasionally I'll "sleep" with a forest creature if it is sick to comfort it and keep it warm
