Nicknames: Although my name be Mary, I am called Helena by most and occasionally hath been known to be called Painted Maypole, but only whilst my most dearest friend Hermia is bewildered at me.

Hometown or where you were born: I was born in the year of 1513 in Sheffield, South Yorkshire

Current Residence: I now reside here in the quaint town of Canterbury alongside my dear friend Hermia and her family.

Age: 20

Class: I am the daughter of an Earl, so therefore I am of Noble birth, but not as highly esteemed as Hermia is. And am most hopeful in becoming a part of court.

What do you do, your main function in life/society: To do my family proud and become one of the Queens ladies in waiting alongside Hermia and her sister Madge before me.

Have you ever gone skinny-dipping / do you know how to swim: A lady does not include herself in such lewd activities, and I am such a lady

Do you make fun of people: I will admit to being quite naughty in making fun of poor Lysander in his exploits to win Hermias hand, but tis all in jest and we are all most good friends.

Favorite Color: Blue, for that color is one of valor and beauty and is the color of my love Demtrius’s eyes.

Have you ever committed or been convicted of a crime: Nay, I hath not and wilt not, to do such would bring shame and dishonor to my family and would forever keep me from my Demetrius.

Closest friends/How did you meet: That honor doth belongst to my dear friend Hermia. We met as children when I became a ward of her humble and happy household. We hath since become like sisters and do share all to one another.

One Pillow or two: I have but one pillow that is made of the finest goose feathers and was bestowed upon me by Hermia.

Pets: Alas, we have no pets in this Manor, the Lord Mayor doth protest at any such thought of one, tis Hermia and I’s hope that we can persuade the new Lady Mayor into swaying the Lord Mayor in his previous position on having a pet.

Favorite Type of Music: I do enjoy listening to the melodious sounds that doth come from the lute.

Hobbies/Pastimes: Whenever I am able to sneak away from my lessons of the day, I do enjoy riding, it is most exhilarating and joyous.

Personal Hygiene: I do bathe as often as I can, the Lord Mayor prefers that all in his household keep a most pleasing smell about them, since our King does not like foul odors.

Favorite Food: There are so many wonderful foods here in Canterbury, however, if I am to choose but one, I woulds’t say that a lovely roasted lamb coulds’t do no such harm to mine tongue.

Are your parents alive, do you get along with them: Sadly, my mother is no longer want for this world, she died when I was but a small child and after such I was sent to live with Lord Mayor Shelton and his family. The few small times I do see my father tis usually one of happy occurrence.

If your parents are dead, when and how did they die: Tis still unclearest to me as to how my mother dids’t depart this place. I hath heard however, that she didst catch a cough and was unable to remedy from it.

Favorite place to relax: I love to sit underneath the oak tree by the pond with Hermia as we gossip and do plot many a mischievous deed. Which has lead us into much trouble

Favorite Holy Day / Why: T’would be erroneous to choose but one holy day for all should held in high regard.

Favorite Drink: I have been known to fancy a good Honey Mead

What's your bedtime: My bedtime is at the same time that Hermia finds herself most tired, since we do share the same room, t’would be bad manners to interrupt her slumber, and the Lord Mayor has thrice scolded me for previous behavior.

What, if anything, do you usually wear on your feet: A pair of the finest leather boots

Are you married or single: Alas, I am not married as of yet. I had hoped to one day be wed to my sweet Demetrius, but this is not to be for he is betrothed to Hermia and tis her eyes and beauty that he doth dotes upon.

Do you have a family / who are they: Aye, indeed I do hath family. They are far from me and live in South Yorkshire. I have eleven brothers and sisters. My Father is George Talbot 4th Earl of Shrewsbury and my late mother was Anne Hastings and my Father’s new wife is Elizabeth Walden. Please do not ask it of me to give all the names of my siblings, for it t’would be to tedious in manner to do so. Although, Hermia and I dids’t take sisters vows and she is the nearest I hath known to a sister.

Favorite Entertainment: Hermia and I do enjoy sneaking away beneath veils to hide our faces in which to attend the theatre.

Favorite Subject in School or Chore growing up: Twould be my lessons is prose in poetry, for I do like to write down on parchment my love for Demetrius.

Least Favorite Subject in School or Chore growing up: Latin, I do hath such a tiresome time trying to configure this language. I find it very boring and wasteful.

Favorite Sport: Bowls, for it gives me quite a few stolen moments with my Demetrius as he teaches the game to me and Hermia.

Most Humiliating Moment: I have a quite a few embarrassing moments, one that does stand in mine mind t’would have to be when I dids’t blurt to Demetrius in vane my affections for him. Twas the same night that he did ask the Lord Mayor for Hermia’s hand in marriage, much to mine and Hermia’s dismay.

Proudest Moment: I would have to say twas the time I learned how to ride my first horse, It had taken me such a long time to convince my father to teach me and when he finally relented I had never been so proud as to when I rode Chatterholm with such grace and dignity.

Craziest Person or silliest you know: Indeed there are quite a number of silly people that I do know, myself being one of them, however I would say the silliest person that I know would most definitely be Lysander. There is always a moment of humor whilst he is near, trying with much fervor to win the honor of Hermia’s hand in marriage away from Demetrius.

What do you look for in the opposite sex: I look for a man of honor and integrity, beauty, wisdom, valor and strength, to which all of these traits do fall upon Demetrius.

In our Hierarchical Society everybody has somebody "over" them, Who is your immediate "overlord" ? Twould be the Lord Mayor

Favorite Sport to watch: My favorite sport would be that of the Joust, tis most thrilling to watch.

Do you remember your first kiss: Alas, as of yet I have not experienced such a wonderous show of affection. I do dream that twill be with Demetrius.

Do you keep in touch with your childhood friends: Indeed I do. Hermia and I are still to this day as close of friends as we were even in childhood, even though she is betrothed to my love.

Where is your favorite "Vacation" spot: I have but been to only two places, home in South Yorkshire and here in Canterbury. I woulds’t love to be able to travel to far off lands and see more that our dear world has to offer.

Have you ever been overseas: Nay, alas, I hath not.

Do you have Dirt/Mud floors or Stone: In South Yorkshire and at the Manor here in Canterbury our floors are made of stone.

What is your bed made of: Tis made of the finest feathers and covered with beautiful patterns.

How many people sleep in your bed: Tis only me but there are many a night when Hermia doth sleep in my bed or I in hers after falling asleep from gossiping til hours of late.
