Fawn

FawnFirst Person Survey for: Fawn the forgetful fairy

Name Given at Birth: Oh my! I cannot rightly recall! With any luck, if I cannot remember, then no mortal will and so I will not be captured. How frightening!

Nicknames: Yes it is Fawn, oh wait, that’s not it.

Where were you born or created? I vaguely recall the sound of waves breaking and fog…. but with a memory such as mine a lot of things are a bit foggy and the sound could very well just be something rolling about in my head.

Current Residence: I travel as my sister travels, her name is Fern and I would be hopelessly lost without here. As apposed to just being lost.

What do you do, your main function in life/society: That is something that I do try very hard to remember. I tend hurt or orphaned animals. It is a very tasking job but I must confess, I would have it no other way.

Have you ever gone skinny dipping / do you know how to swim: I believe at one point in time I did know how to swim but I am fearful of the water lest I forget.

Do you make fun of people? On occasion I will try to have a bit of fun at a mortals expense but usually I get distracted by something and completely forget what it was that I was…oh look a butterfly!

Favorite Color and why? Oh green by far is my favorite. I love it because it does remind me of the grasses of spring, so soft, and lush, and tasty!

Closest Friend(s)/How did you meet: Why, my sister Fern of course! And thankfully I seem to remember who she is, well, in most cases. We spend everyday together.

Pets: Well, I do have these two shiny things that follow me around all day. They are forever there but they must be quite shy for they are always hovering just over my shoulders. One is perpetually on the left, which I have named Ward, and the other always stays on the right, which I have dubbed Clover. They are wonderful companions and we seem to have a great bond for they flap about when I am in high spirits or conversely, when I am upset. Should I speak to them or to Fern about them she usually rolls her eyes and laughingly says, "Oh, Fawn." I wonder what she means by that?

Favorite Type of Music: The world has a music all to it’s own, the lap of water, the wind in the grass, the call of the night bird, the rumble in my tummy, the yellow of the sun, the cloud in the sky, the bag of corn. Wait, what was I talking about?

Hobbies/Pastimes: I have an affection for buttons and sew them to my pouches. As well as playing the game of marbles with my sister Fern. I have a collection of marbles of my own but seem to have misplaced them. Mayhap you have seen them? It is a most horrifying experience to lose one’s marbles!

Favorite Food: Other than grass and parchment, I also love to snack on pickles!

Favorite Place to Relax: There is nothing in the world more calming than the cool shade of an Old Oak!

Favorite Drink: The nectar of the honeysuckle. Each drop is a little piece of joy and sunshine, that reminds me, I am exceedingly parched.

What’s your Bedtime? I usually sleep when Fern says, "Fawn, for goodness sake just go to sleep!"

Are you married or single? Yes, no, I am not rightly sure. If I am then I have misplaced him and in that case have you seen my husband? I am sure he is tall, exceedingly handsome, with long flowing hair. At least, I hope he is. But should I prove to not be wed then might I ask a boon of you? Might you find me someone who is tall, exceedingly handsome, with long flowing hair?

Favorite Entertainment: I do love a good game of "Who am I and where did my shoes go?" Fern and I also play a lot of marbles.

Most Humiliating Moment: My, let me enlighten you on the humility felt by forgetting your own name! To always question yourself as to whether or not a person is talking to you and if you should answer. It is very humiliating. The only thing worse than that is forgetting to breathe. Should you come across me and find that I have turned as blue as a changeling child please remind me to take a breath!

Proudest Moment: One day I happened to look upon my hand and tied there on my first finger was a small ribbon fashioned into a bow. I vaguely recount placing it there in hopes that I may later recall something. I pondered long and hard and as sudden as a flash of lighting I had it. I remembered! I ran to my sister to tell her the glorious news. She cheered and we danced about, reveling in the happiness of the seldom occurrence. Then she asked me what it was that I had remembered. But in the excitement of the moment I had forgotten again. I still have the ribbon tied to my finger in hoped that I may one day remember again.

Craziest or Silliest Fey Person you know: The only fey I remember well enough is Fern, but she can be a bit crazy sometimes. Especially when she has found a good sturdy stick. That’s when mortals and Fey alike must watch out!

What do you look for in the opposite sex? Impeccable memory. Enough said.

In our Hierarchical Society everybody has somebody "over" them. Who is your immediate "overlord"?

Lady Titania would be as is Mother Nature.

How do you feel about that person? I am very proud to aid and serve them both.

Favorite Sport to Watch: I do love a good heart-stopping snail race. Laugh if you will but when your memory is as poor as mine seems to be then even snails can be interesting. When you cannot remember when the race began then you really do not mind how long it takes.

Do you remember your first kiss? At times having a horrible memory seems a blessing. Every kiss is a first kiss, every love has the excitement of a first love, every heart break is forever forgotten.

Where is your favorite "Vacation" spot? I think I like Scotland, perhaps. Is Scotland near Italy? No? Oh dear.

What is your bed made of? What ever happens to be on hand is good enough for me.

How many people sleep in your bed? I have a bed? Terrific! Where is it and why are there other people sleeping in it?
