Maestro, Entertainment Director

The Gypsy MaestroName Given at Birth: Martin Edward Victor Christian George Boleyn is my English name.

Nicknames: The Maestro, as a child I was called Martino

Hometown or where you were born: Canterbury

Current Residence: Gypsy Encampment, outside of the Barbarian encampment. I also have a manor house which I live in as the Lord Mayor and the husband of the Duchess Catherine

Age: 50 wonderful years

Class: I am the leader of our greatest Gypsy Band in the world.

What do you do, your main function in life/society: First I am the Lord Mayor of Canterbury. My wife seems content to take care of most of those duties. As far as the world is concerned I, the Gypsy Maestro provide all forms of music and entertainment for the rich and powerful. I also indulge in trade with many different exotic countries. But my main function is to do "The Queen’s business" in places and situations when it would be impossible for a soldier or a statesman to succeed. I travel across the world providing entertainment and merriment and seeing to the "the family "business". Don’t be fooled I will do the "business" of any powerful ruler for the right coin.

Have you ever gone skinny-dipping / do you know how to swim: I have been known to indulge myself with a cool swim. I am a strong swimmer and have proved it by swimming across the moats of many strongholds in record time.

Do you make fun of people: No, Why would I want to make enemies when a gypsy needs all the friends he can get?

Favorite Color: Purple, the color of Royal power. Lord Highgate will leave me his estate at his passing since he has no heirs. But I want to earn a title on my own, not inherit it. Though, I am not fool enough to turn down his most generous offer.

Have you ever committed or been convicted of a crime: I am Gypsy, but I have not been convicted. I may not be faster, but I am much more clever that most guards even at the strongholds of France.

Closest Friends:

· My Mother; we are very close and she has given me good advice over the years. We share gift of second sight. And we talk out everything. She has always told me I was her reckless child but I have much to do and don’t have time to do everything the conventional way. I think I have been her greatest challenge, but I am certain that I am her favored child. She is the only living person who understands entirely the nature of my "business" both as a provider of great gypsy entertainment and as well as Europe’s greatest spy. Though I think she has spent too many nights on too soft a bed, I am looking forward to dancing and playing with her at the Harvest Revel. She was a famous dancer in her day. She is still a beauty and with my help we have gotten her a magnificent husband in Lord Highgate. I have been away from her for over a year and I miss her terribly. My children seem to be her greatest pleasure.

· My Sister Leonora is my favorite sister. She has worked for me as a musician, singer and an accomplished dancer. Of all the instruments she plays, her gypsy violin is my favorite. Though, I must admit that I love to listen to her play the harp as well. Many nights I have read until I slept with the sound of her harp floating into the window of vardo. She too has helped with the "family business" much to my mother’s displeasure. She can slip in and out of a chamber without every rustling a curtain and walk out only moments later knowing the location of ever valuable in the room. She can have her hand kissed by the most powerful gentle and when he rises from his reverence show will have "borrowed every valuable up on his person

· Belladonna is my youngest sister, whom I adore. I trust her with one of my largest caravans. I am proud that she has been so successful in our business. I think it is time for her to take a husband. I can’t believe how indulgent our mother has been with her. I suppose it is up to me to find her a husband. But after introducing her to 3 of the once was that really older rich Frenchman from Callais who she spent ony 3 hours with, He was most smitten with her beauty and spirit. But alas, the poor man died of a heart ailment that very even. I don’t think the church is ready for her but if I can’t find a match that she will approve of she may be our gift to the church. All she is interested in are the penniless fair faced boys in the village. After visiting our caravan last I have concern that she is spending to much coin on bells of no value. There seems to be hundreds hanging from the vardos.

· Rosa Lee has been a good friend since the death of my twin brother, her husband in the great gypsy fire of 1554. She was the lead dancer in "Angelus de Maestro’ " when we first began. As she got older she became very instrumental in my "business" and has booked the theatricals all over the courts of Europe. They performed on and off the stage as the need arises. We were often seeking after information for our many customers. Since that little problem in Seville with that Duke she has not been seen much. I think she is keeping her gypsy head low.

· Sir William Highgate has been a good friend and gave me some useful advice when I first began in the King Henry’s service. He helped me out of a situation with Queen Mary. She had no love for Gypsies. I have always found him not only a trustworthy business associate but charming and entertaining enough to find him a suitable husband for my mother. He seems to be the happiest when he is indulges her in all of the strange adventures our family seems to embark upon. He has become like a father to me. He doesn’t quite understand the nature of my "business" but he will always be counted upon for wise counsel and even a charade now and then if needed to cover one of our transgressions.

· King Salmonella who I knew long before he took the throne of Vulgaria. He has always been a little particular but his children are sweet and the country seems to strive under his rule.

· His Daughter Petranella has had some husband troubles and when she was mourning the loss of he bride groom we allowed her to join Troupe Festivale and travel with them for a season and cook for us at the Revels. For a young princess who was raised on radishes she really is a good cook.

· Nadia, has become a dear friend and talented artist. Now that Esmerelda and Adonis have posted their bands they have settled in Morocco. Nadia has taken the reins of the Troupe Festivale. She has allowed my son Cezar to utilize him talent in a new show she has written for him. She does not yet know about our "family Business" but I am testingr loyalties because I have ask her to create a distraction so that Evgeny, Nikolai and I can utilize the new stilts Sasha built to retrieve papers paid for my the Empress of Madagascar. I believe if there is trouble we can count on her discretion and her creative mind.

One Pillow or two: 1 small one, we are gypsies and should not get soft.

Pets: Only the horses that pull the vardos and goats to provide milk for my strapping family. The boys complain enough about taking care of the working animals. I see no reason one should make pets of creatures that can’t work for their keep.

Favorite Type of Music: Gypsy Violin

Hobbies/Pastimes: Dancing, reading, meddling in the affairs of others, trying to find good matches for my children and my sisters; they are all so particular, especially my sons.

Personal Hygiene: I keep my hands and face clean and endeavor not to smell worse than my sons. I only bathe when it is necessary to escape through a moat.

Favorite Food: Meat pies prepared by certain beautiful and mysterious gypsy girl.

Are your parents alive, do you get along with them: My Mother is very much alive and married to a wonderful man. I introduced them after the death of my father in the Great Gypsy Fire of 1554

If your parents are dead, when and how did they die: My father died 20 years ago in an unusual fire; Rosa Lee was dancing the gypsy dance of passion for my twin brother Angelo (her first husband) and due to a spell of my Metri things got out of control and the caravan burned to the ground. In fact, 2 caravans, a small forest, and half of a nearby village were destroyed. I think it goes unsaid that gypsies are not allowed in that particular region of France anymore.

Favorite place to relax: By the pond with the waterfall in Canterbury with a good book.

Favorite Holy Day / Why: Yule, it is my only time off and we spend a whole week in celebration. But what I celebrate most is my family. Since my Metri has been married to Sir William we go to Highgate Manor to celebrate. It is the time when my children get to rest and revel without all of the work to be done. My Metri always finds interesting entertainments to occupy their hands and their minds. It is my favorite time for it is a time when my children get to act like children again and I have opportunity to be a father. Between my self and my Metri they are showered with gifts, practical gifts but artfully crafted. There is always much singing and much dancing about the Yule fire as well as much planning for the season to come.

It is a time when my son, Tito and I have the opportunity to create new routes across Europe and on to the Orient. He is very interested and learned on the subject of maps we dream for hours about the new places we have visited. I have procured a new map of the east I think he will enjoy.

This season we had the pleasure of the company of my new wife at the Yule revel. She really wanted to spend the holidays elsewhere but my children wouldn’t hear of it. My good wife was not really happy about our time at High Gate Manor, but she was stubbornly patient. She was very happy to return to our new estate in Canterbury for our Twelfth Night Celebration. Home at last we had the largest revel Canterbury has every known. My Daughter Lucianna was surprised to find that we had her birthday revel disguised as our Twelve Night Revel. My sweet Dutchess is the happiest when she is planning some festive gathering. She did a magnicient revel that Lucianna will not soon forget My wife was more than happy to send Martino, the rest of my children and my Caravan on to Paris three days later. With much tears and fairewells they were off to Paris.

Favorite Drink: Hipocriss and Strawberry Mead

What's your bedtime: As soon as all the work is done, I have inquired after my shavos, I say goodnight to my shava, Luciana and make certain that all is well with them all and then I am off to my vardo and will fall asleep reading listening to the quiet noises of our gypsy camp. If I am lucky the strains of a violin will be playing by one of the many fires in camp.

If at the manor I see to the servants of the estate and curl on in our big bed with my Duchess.

What if anything, do you usually wear on your feet: leather boots, soft slippers or sandals.

Are you married or single I am a widower 13 times over. My dear mates Alexandra, Valentina, Stefania, Antoinette, Dika, Liliana, Mimi, Luna, Romona, Afina, Syeira, Tagaria and all died in childbirth. I am now married to the lovely Dutchess Jane at the Queen’s command and my distinct pleasure. Though our marriage was arranged we are truly in love; we have been married for a year and a half. Though my bride was not necessarily pleased, she loved me and the Queen enough to trust us. We were married in secret so we could go to Canterbury and bring down a corrupt magistrate. We did as the Queen ask and then spent the autumn in nuptial bliss as Martino and my children finished the last trek of the season. We celebrated the Yule, Twelfth Night, sent the Caravan on its way to Paris and then tragedy struck.

Do you have a family/who are they:

Duchess Jane is the love of my life. I spent two magnificent years wooing her and about 5 months in wedded bliss. She has bright eyes and an intelligent smile. She is a women of practical things and a real love for her household. She is always interested the welfare of those around her. When flattered she has a laugh like the music of a brook. But our relationship is in grave danger. I left the last day of January to rescue my son Martino. She was not pleased that I was leaving her side but she couldn't say much as it could have sped my son's death. After his rescue, his health was broken and I was needed to lead the caravans and get us to Egypt so we could purchase the goods needed to please our courtly customers. Further there was the matter of the papers which need to be procured from the French Court for the Empress of Madagascar and now the French were expecting trouble. I was not willing to risk another son. We also were need in the Italian court for a masque and in the court of Aragon to provide entertainment for a birthday ball. I explained this all to my lady in a missive. She, to say the least was not pleased. I am surprised that the parchment was not incinerated by her words. She is a woman you don't want to displease. It is hard to remember that this is the women that I most adore in the entire world. It was easier to throw my self in the work and to keep praying for my son's recovery. After all, work & prayer is the best cure for everything. I am going to be late getting back to Canterbury to set up for the Harvest Festival. Which I am sure has been cause for many curses and flashing eyes. Though, it is those eyes that made me fall in love with her. Her eyes can embrace with love, surround you with understanding and comfort and then they can stab you in the heart with the blade of cold steel. Perhaps after the Harvest Faire we will be able to talk out our problems out. We are both much to busy with the Harvest Faire, but I have promised her a dance at the end of the day. She has asked me to wear my wedding doublet for the Harvest Festival but my work clothes are much more comfortable for my tasks of the day. But I think I will wear it for the dance. I hope that will please her. She is always much happier when we dance. Mayhap we can work our troubles out. But like the fish that fell in love with the bird it was really a magnificent courtship but where would they live. I am hoping that our love will prevail. But my dream is to leave the position of lord mayor behind and live happily ever after in our vardo with my Lady wife surrounded by the laughter and songs of my children and their children.

My children are very important to me. I have 13 children all together. They are my greatest challenge and my greatest joy. Each one’s mother died in childbirth with only one exception. I have raised them all pretty much by myself and am very much the proud papa. I spend a good deal of my time with my children and have enjoyed raising each one to become a great shavo or shava.

· Martino is my eldest son and heir. He has become my pride and joy. He can do the work of ten men and has taken on the work of the caravan and as well has helped me several times in the "family business". He is at an age where he is very interested in the ladies; I worry that a pretty face will turn his head and he will not be as attentive to my business as I would have him be. As he grew into manhood he has become as much a trusted friend as well as my son. Since last summer he has been taking care of our Caravans, he and the boys have been traveling without me. While Lucianna was in Vulgaria on my business. On the 29th day of January Martino was arrested by the French government as a spy. And was imprisoned and tortured for information as to whom he is working for. With the help of Evgeny and Nikolai and their skill with the stilts we managed to liberate his broken body from his horror. Lucianna returned to nurse him back to health and has left him secretly in a convent in Brussels. Martino mother’s name was Alexandra and he has her great beauty and strong spirit.

· Santiago was born one minute after Martino and has never stopped complaining about it since. They are alike in many ways but the differences are as vast as the sea. While Martino is single minded about the "business" of the caravan Santiago is a very clever about avoiding the work. He seems to be ruled by his belly. I am not certain there is anything he wouldn’t do for a good meal or the right wench. His prowess with the ladies is legendary in his own mind. Belladonna has invited him to join her caravan. I am not certain if that will be a success. If the boy doesen’t straightened up, I may gift him to the church. His voice could be an asset to the choir at the chapel of Blessed Mercy. His Mother Alexandra died moments after Santiago’s birth but his howling I am certain troubled all of heaven.

· Lucianna is a driven woman. She was wonderful at keeping the fires burning, the family fed, costumes clean and skillfully sewn and has become a skilled dancer. As Martino has gotten busy with the responsibilities of the newest caravan he has not been around. She came to me and said that she has watched and helped Martino at his tasks in our caravan and would like to take his place in our caravan. Though I was skeptical of her abilities being a young woman she is very much Martino’s equal. She takes good care of her brothers and leads them as well. She is gentle but firm with them. They respect her and work for her because she loves them so much. She is the most beautiful and exquisite creature god ever created. She will be a dream come true for the deserving man I will match her with. I hope we will be able to find such a god deserving enough to be her husband. But if not, I am sure she will be just as happy in the caravan caring for her aging father and 12 brothers. She is currently in Vulgaria and I miss her very much, I am looking forward to seeing her again at the Harvest Festival. Her mother was Valentina and Lucianna has inherited her flair for the dramatic .

· Nikolai is considered most handsome by many of the gypsy girls and the girls of the villages. He is not vain just confident. He has problems getting to his responsibilities because of all the female interruptions. I don’t think I will have any problems finding him a wife. His skill as an archer and an astronomer serves us well. His skill an assassin impresses even me. He is a strong climber and seems to know no fear. Too often I am told that he and his brother Evgeny have been sighted on the rooftops of the houses of the Gaje. He a talented artist and a magnificent archer. I only know this because I have stood behind a tree in the woods and watched him practice with a bow and the arrow he fashioned himself. After he became more proficient at his endeavors he found a stronger bow, and a quiver of arrows of lying by the tree he had been practicing at for several days. He was greatly pleased at his find and I discovered I was a better fletcher than I thought possible. His mother was called Stefania and he has her eyes and a genuine love of people. I am proud of him and his many accomplishments. He has begun to take a leadership role with his brothers now that Martino and Luciana are otherwise occupied with getting Martino on his feet again and taking care of the situation in Vulgaria.

· Evgeny is my artistically talented son. He loves to paint. Perhaps he has noticed that his paints never run dry. I arrange for the pots to be filled every day. I don’t want him to ever be unable to express himself artistically. He is the one who we can count on to make us laugh in any situation. He also is quick witted and sharp tongued and quite the salesman. He could convince you to buy fog. He is hard working and very popular with the girls of the village. He is as vain as they come. And if I hear one more village girl carry on about the shape of his abdomen I will feed him to the big cats myself. He seems to spend more time in the trees than on the ground. He is also one of our best hunters and become the finest blacksmith and wheelwright in all of the land. He has begun to help his brother Nikolai to lead his brothers. His mother was Antoinette and he has her unwavering Faith in God.

· Sasha is an inventor. He has created for the caravan new tools and larger lighter vardos. He also has a great since of trade and commerce. It was Sasha’s idea to start trading the large cats. Since it was his idea to transport these large cats it was Nikolai’s idea to have him build the cages for the Cats as Vardos and after cleaning those cages once, it was Evgeny’s idea to have Sasha clean the cages from then on. Sasha’s mother was Dika and from her he got his love of reading. I see to it that the best books are available to him. "Dante’s Inferno" and "Utopia". I have promised to introduce him to an apprentice of Da Vinci I met in Canterbury last harvest. I just procured a copy of "The Book of Common prayer" for his up coming birthday.

· Gregor is quieter that Nikolai & Evgeny but just as mischievous. Gregor likes to venture out on his own and doing so has gotten himself in a number of scrapes. For instance he went to a village and some gaje girl filled him with wine and then had a large star tattooed on his chest. I believe that if you spare the rod you spoil the child. Let’s just say the rod was not spared that day. And we returned to the village with his backside smarting from my wrath and had justice tattooed on the other side of his chest in Latin. He will heed my words in the future. He is not a bad boy just willful and full of vinegar. He works in clay and has made a number of beautiful sculptures. He is my scholar and is writing a family history. He thinks it is a secret but who do you think keeps leaving the parchment and the quills laying around for him to find. His mother was Liliana and she was as willful has he is. But I love their independence

· Slavvo is one of the great performers in our family. He has been on the stage since his birth. He is the first young man to perform in Angelus de Maestro. He is a good dancer and is often called upon to perform for many of the Crown heads we entertain. Rosa says that his talents are unequaled. He is a smart boy and does not seem to possess the vanity that Evegeny and Nikolai has developed. He does have the joyous smile of his mother; Mimi danced for Rosa many many years ago.

· Tito is the brains of our operation. Smart as a whip and funny as they come. But he is a mapmaker and an explorer at heart. He loves to draw maps and discover undiscovered routes through Europe, India, and the Orient. His dream is to explore the new world. As a child I spent many nights following behind him in the shadows allowing him to explore the night. He would finally fall asleep under a tree and I would carry him home and put him in his pallet under my vardo. I wonder if he every knew how he got home. Some day when he is old enough I will send him to the New World. But for now we enjoy his sense of humor which he got from his mother, Luna.

· Guido is our clown. He has been known to drink too much and eat too much and then stagger home. He is the one who keeps everyone laughing and grabbing there sides at any revel. After his last trip to town he came back unable to stand. But I gave him a potion that my Metri had shared with me when I made the same mistake. He spend the next several hours kneeling in the woods heaving up the poison he had chosen to put into his body and swearing loudly that he would never do this again. I know this because I was there holding his head the entire time and assuring him that like all bad things this to would pass. All the while Evgeny was hiding in a tree laughing. Guido is not all bad he has the heart of an artist and a sweet soul, but spends too much time searching for beautiful models. I have seen his work he is not only talented but he has great taste in models. If I can just keep his mind on his studies he will make me proud. His mother was the beautiful Romona.

· Benvolio is the quietest of my children. You don’t always know what he is thinking but you can be certain it is some new scheme to make us money. He will be a rich man someday but he is the stingiest boy ever to walk. I am not certain he would spare a morsel of food for a starving brother. He a wonder with numbers he is the one who keeps track of the treasures that we are transporting. He can tell you how much perfumed oils we have on hand and how many grains of barley in the wagons. He carries an abacus in a bag on his belt. Strangely enough he found it in his pallet under my vardo. I found it in the orient, someday he will realize what it is made of and realize he hold his inheritance in his hands. He also is a hard worker. He is the quietist of my offspring but don’t mistake his silence for stupidity, he is the shrewdest of my sons. His mother was Afina.

· Cesar is a magnificent dancer and performer. He is a compassionate boy. He feels everything deeply and is often hurt. His brothers would tease him too hard and I would find him by my side offering to help me with what ever I was doing. As we spent time working he would finally spill what was troubling his heart and we would talk it out. I brought Nadia from to tutor him in the dance and next thing I know she had talked me into letting him perform with Troupe Festivale, a smaller troupe of young gypsy performers who perform all over the world. I am proud of him. As he grows older I hope to create a new performing troupe for him to manage. I miss him and my children tease me because our caravan just happens to meet up with his very often so that I can see him perform and I take the time to make certain that all is well for him. He writes often which makes our separation a little easer. His mother was a beautiful dancer and singer named Syeira.

· Luca is my youngest and of course I am most protective of him. I don’t have to be though for my children are very protective of him as well. He is the dreamer in the family. He spends many hours just sitting and thinking watching the clouds go by. I am waiting for the day when my sons will not stand for this and will insist that he help more. He also asks difficult questions like "why do the Gaje not like us" or "why does Luciana get so angry, upset and mean just before the moon wanes". He has a thirst for knowledge. He is a good dancer and when he is older I will call for Nadia to tutor him as well. He is our poet and had written a poem about each of us. I am teaching him about the sonnets written by the Queen’s Playwright. He also collects bugs which I don’t appreciate when he stores them in my vardo. Another time when the rod was not spared. His inquisitive mind he got from his mother, Tagaria.

Favorite Entertainment: My children crying out "Aye Papa" with great enthusiasm when I present them with their list of chores.

Favorite Subject in School or Chore growing up: Learning to read & write for it is an unusual privilege for Gypsies to be education at all. Which is why I have seen to it that each of my children spend a year in the convent in Brussels learning to ready and write. After that we continue their education at home. I believe that you are never too old to learn and in fact when you stop learning you have put one foot in the grave.

Least Favorite Subject in School or Chore growing up: Caring for the horses; which is why my sons do it now.

Favorite Sport: Riding, a rare treat gifted to me by my Lord Highgate.

Most Humiliating Moment: involved a number of strawberries, several bottles of honey mead, a large bowl of heavy cream and a beautiful court lady who was most entertaining and very solicitous of my affections. The afternoon seemed to be going well, but as the sun started to set, a court gentleman came looking for her. This upstart Lord Dudley was quick to dispatch me with several insults involving my disrespect for the Crown. Though it was most humiliating I have been called upon often since, to find information, locate jewels or to carry missives for the Strawberry Lass. In fact when she needs me she will have a ripe strawberry delivered in a mug of honey meade.

Proudest Moment: When I realized that all of my children could read and write.

Craziest Person or silliest you know: Guido though he drives me to distraction, I hope he would never loose his sense of humor.

What do you look for in the opposite sex: Childbearing hips and ripe lips waiting to be kissed.

In our Hierarchical Society everybody has somebody "over" them, who is your immediate "overlord": The Monarch I happen to be working for at the time. As the Lord Mayor of Canterbury I have many new duties and the old ones still persist at harvest time I am to prepare the Entertainments of the Harvest Festival, so I suppose today it is Glorianna who is my overlord.

How Do You Feel about that person?: She is a magnificent Queen. But one queen is like another. I like her a little better than the rest because she gave me my beauty of a bride.

Favorite Sport to watch: My children working quietly together getting a great deal done in a shortest amount of time.

Do you remember your first kiss: Yes, it was after a gypsy revel in my 16th year…her name was Alexandra; she had the most mysterious eyes. We were married the next day and she was with child twice over within a few hours.

Where is your favorite "Vacation" spot: I do not have time for holiday, "entertaining" the Courts of the world is a never-ending job.

Have you ever been overseas: Yes, many times. I have found some of my more unusual performers in foreign lands.

Do you have Dirt/Mud floors or Stone: My bedroom has wooden floors, and my living room has dirt floors. It is always such when you sleep in a vardo in the largest gypsy caravan in the world.

What is your bed made of: Goose down filled mattress in a rosewood frame which was created for me by my son Evgeny and ruby damasked curtain created for me by my daughter Luciana.

How many people sleep in your bed: In my caravan on a dry night it is just me on a rainy cold evenings I seem to have lots of loving family in my vardo. Which is some of my favorite times? When I am at the manor in Canterbury I am spooning with my sweet wife.

10 Things Everybody Should Know About

I am the most respected/feared gypsy in the land.

I am very close to my mother. I have inherited her second sight

I provide all the entertainment for much of the Balls and Festivals attended by the crowned heads of the world.

My Daughter, Luciana has spent a great deal of time in Vulgaria since we have retired Martino to a convent in Brussels. She has been consoling Petranella and keeping me posted on the up coming war with England. I miss her very much and worry about her a great deal. I was delighted to hear she was traveling to Canterbury for the Harvest Festival, But the shocked to hear of the plans of the Vulgarians. We worse has happened at the Harvest Faire in Canterbury. We will figure it out and still have a magnificent Festival anyway.

I am a very hard worker, and I expect all my kumpania to be the same way. I am quick to anger when anyone in my kumpania is avoiding the work of our caravan. I am equally quick to anger when anyone in my kumpania is being accused of anything unjustly.

I am always trying to arrange marriages for my sons, daughter, and sisters. They never seem to be interested in the wonderful nuptial opportunities I offer them.

I travel all year long to find the best entertainment, but each fall I use to return to Canterbury for the Harvest Festival. Now it seems I am the Lord Mayor of this English village regardless of what my good wife might say about now.

I throw the best Gypsy revels; people travel for days to attend. You would be shocked if you knew the faces behind the masques.

I work often for The Strawberry Lass but I am not certain I trust her. I have seen her turn, on her other gentlemen who are her confidents. Dudley is still facing her wrath. She is beautiful, powerful and dangerous. When she is displeased her passions know no bounds.

I am returning to Canterbury not knowing if I am to return to my manor house. My wife was angry and is quite capable of great horrors when angered. I have not returned home since I liberate Martino and then continued running our caravans. I am concerned that she has gone to the Queen and had our marriage annulled. I truly want her back but my time with the caravan as we struggled through the difficult seasons I discovered I still love the Gypsy life and am not certain I am cut out to be Lord Mayor.

I have 13 wonderful children whom I adore and am hoping for 100 grand children with all of the joys and horrors that will afford. I plan to be the best Grandfather ever. I hope that Jane and I pray enjoy our grandchildren together in our vardo on the Gypsy road.
