Lizbea Lloyd

LizbeaLloydName Given at Birth: Elizabeth Beatrice "Lizbea" Lloyd

Nicknames: Lizbea, Beth, Liz

Hometown or where you were born: Canterbury

Current Residence: In the castle with Master Leopold Bloom in Middlesex out side of London

Age: 18

Class: Upper Middle

What do you do, your main function in life/society: I work for lord Leopold Bloom and it is my duty to make him as happy as possible and to serve him, though I may be a little defiant at times which does get me into a bit of trouble here and there.

Have you ever gone skinny-dipping / do you know how to swim: I have not gone skinny dipping, but strangely enough I do know how to swim, even though the stream is dried up in Canterbury. Thanks to Floyd and Elaine. Floyd taught Elaine how to swim, who taught me.

Do you make fun of people: Aye, I do it now and then, it’s not very mannerly, but who’s mannerly all the time these days?

Favorite Color: I love emerald green! It’s more elegant than the plain green. It’s deeper, and richer, if you will.

Have you ever committed or been convicted of a crime: Nay. I get into enough trouble as it is without being convicted of a crime, I wouldn’t need to.

Closest friends/How did you meet:

A close friend of mine would be Mary Eliot. She was my lord Leopold Bloom’s personal advisor. She kept me out of trouble most of the time. But she is gone for now… and I have taken her spot in Master Bloom’s house. She was almost like a mother or an older sister to me. She has taught me a lot and I will remember her forever!

The Lord and Lady Mayor’s daughter: She is most pleasant and kind. I do love talking with them when I can, and it is good to be able to relate in many ways. She is very dear to me.

One Pillow or two: I sleep with one. ‘Tis better that I get one instead of none when I still lived with my father. The elder of the children thought they had rights that I didn’t. It would always be a fight to see who got the pillows.

Pets: None. I wouldn’t have much time for a pet. My work is my business, and whatever gossip comes around is my business as well, and since I do errands for my lord, I have a lot of business.

Favorite Type of Music: I enjoy all types of music. I find it very entertaining to hear anything that involves such talent. My favorite would have to be a bit of the violin. Especially the gypsy violin. I love watching the gypsies dance, but I don’t think my master would like to hear that.

Hobbies/Pastimes: A hobby of mine is looking at the beaux. They do send my heart a twitter, especially if I catch them looking at me.

Personal Hygiene: Oh, every two to three days. I represent his lordship who expects me to be cleanly.

Favorite Food: I would have to say I love berries. Any kind of berries. I am exceptionally fond of blue berries though.

Are your parents alive, do you get along with them: I don’t get to see my father much, but when I do speak with him or hear from him, I do. I miss him sorely.

If your parents are dead, when and how did they die: My mother died of a fever when I was 14. That was a tragedy that struck my father horribly. He moved from Canterbury to London. I never lived there. I was asked to serve Master Bloom when I was 14. It’s probably better for the business that he resides in a bigger, more lively area now.

Favorite place to relax: When I do get to relax, I like to relax by just taking a walk around where I may be. I just love to walk. Seldom is the chance I get to do this, but it does happen.

Favorite Holy Day / Why: My favorite Holy Day would most probably be Christmas. Though most everyone else I know loves Easter, I love Christmas because it is supposedly the day of birth for the Lord Jesus, and everyone in the castle is more like a family.

Favorite Drink: I would have to say I love wine. NAY! It’s apple cinnamon cider! It warms me on the inside, and it’s sweet! I tend to like sweet things.

What's your bedtime: When either I am dismissed from day’s work, if this be the case, then I stay up for a while or take a walk just thinking, or until my lord is asleep.

What, if anything, do you usually wear on your feet: Durable leather shoes. Shoes I can easily maneuver my work in.

Are you married or single: Aye, single at the moment. But I hope this will not continue for long. Master Leopold is teetering with the idea of letting me court!

Do you have a family / who are they: I do have a family. My mother, Colleen Lloyd deceased, died of fever two years ago, and father, Gabriel Lloyd is a merchant living in London after moving there when Mother died. My elder brother, Floyd Lloyd is married and is well off with his own business as a carpenter. My elder sister, Elaine, is happily married a little ways from here. My younger brother, Victor, is still living with Father, learning how to be a merchant himself and will one day take over my father’s business. I don’t understand why Floyd didn’t take it though… I thought it was custom for the eldest son to take the father’s business…
Another family to me is Lord Bloom’s house. Master Bloom has taken very good care of me, and Lady Cordelia is always a pleasure to be around when she comes to visit or we go to her household for a while. They are very close to me and I care for them deeply.

Favorite Entertainment: Dances! I love to dance (which is good, being Master Leopold is an excellent dancer and Master of Dance)! Any being who asks me to dance will have a most wonderful time! And I must say… I do love to watch the hanky toss, a game Master Bloom and Lady Cordelia rather spend a lot of time playing. I think it’s quite humorous, though Eliot doesn’t think it appropriate for "a girl my age."

Favorite Subject in School or Chore growing up: My favorite chore? Well… I really didn’t have to do much. Floyd or Elaine was usually in charge of keeping papa’s shop tidy. My favorite chore in Master Leopold’s house would be putting away his rings and other jewelry! They are stunning and fun to look at.

Least Favorite Subject in School or Chore growing up: Out of the things I had to do, I hated making the beds.

Favorite Sport: Does dancing count as a sport? I have learned many dances just by watching Master Bloom.

Most Humiliating Moment: I never had one up until last year in Canterbury… We were reverencing the Queen as she passed, and of course, me being a tiny bit clumsy fell over backwards onto my back.

Proudest Moment: When my lord asked me to assist him as his servant. It was something that made me feel like I am actually worth something to someone. Or, when the Queen called me by name last year. I had no idea she knew who I was!

Craziest Person or silliest you know: Oh, probably Giacomo, Her Majesties’ Royal Jester. He is so much fun to watch and he’s just naturally so strange and good humored.

What do you look for in the opposite sex: I do believe I’m too much of a flirt. I like being around men in general, but what I look for in a potential partner is sweetness, someone who is not cruel and will respect me. Fat chance in a man treating me as an equal, but I can still hope.

In our Hierarchical Society everybody has somebody "over" them, Who is your immediate "overlord" : My overlord would be Master Bloom.

Favorite Sport to watch: Again, Jousting. It takes much bravery to be a knight and to joust, and to be good at it must mean you have a lot of talent.

Do you remember your first kiss: Aye. I do, ‘tis something that will remain in my memory forever. And I do hope that he is doing well. I got to see him on my last visit to my hometown, but I have lost contact with him. It was a doomed love. It was still the greatest rush of my heart I have ever known.

Do you keep in touch with your childhood friends: I wish I could, but I do not have much time to talk with them, much less see them. I travel where ever my lord goes. But during the harvest, I do try and see my friends from only a few years past.

Where your favorite "Vacation" spot is: I do love to go back to Canterbury when we do go to the Harvest Faire. It is my favorite. I wish I still lived there, sometimes. I really can not complain though. I love what I do.

Have you ever been overseas: Yes, I follow my lord wherever he may go and he has gone over seas.

Do you have Dirt/Mud floors or Stone: Stone. I live in a castle with my lord and the other servants.

What is your bed made of: Straw, cloth, and ropes. Same as most people I would assume.

How many people sleep in your bed: Up until this year, it was sometimes two, myself and another, but now, it’s just me. I even have my own room!

10 Things Everybody Should Know About Me:
