Leopold Bloom, Duke of Middlesex, Marquis of Marigold,
Viscount of Violets, Baron of Bouquets, Lord of the Lillies,
and Florist to Her most Royal Majesty Elizabeth Regina.

Leopold BloomName Given at Birth: Our parents graced us at birth with the name Lee Bloom.

Nicknames: Our dearest friends call us Lee-Lee, you may call us Leopold.

Hometown or where you were born: We arrived upon God’s good earth very near to Canterbury indeed; we grew up in the fields just to the east of Canterbury.

Current Residence: When not on progress with Her most Royal Majesty Elizabeth Regina, we reside at Pink Hall north of London in Middlesex.

Age: We are, and have ever been, the age of flowers in the spring.

Class: We are of course nobility, and bear the title of Duke of Middlesex, few there are in England with higher titles than we.

What do you do, your main function in life/society: We are pleased to be titled as Florist to Her most Royal Majesty Elizabeth Regina and as such it is our duty, Nay, our greatest pleasure and privilege to bring beauty and grace to Her Court.

Have you ever gone skinny-dipping / do you know how to swim: We have never learned to swim. Swimming is not an adventure we choose to experience personally, if perchance we were to encounter other men (doing so scandalous a thing) we would certainly watch the event and enjoy it from the relative safety of the bank.

Do you make fun of people: We often have been known to take our sport from the antics of those around us, but hopefully not so that they would know.

Favorite Color: As a florist it seems most obvious to us that the colors one should be enamored of most are pink and green.

Have you ever committed or been convicted of a crime: Without conviction, does one really commit a crime? The word of a noble man must always be weighed with the greater good. But we digress… We have never been convicted of any crimes and the stable boy is a liar and not to be trusted.

Closest friends/How did you meet:

One Pillow or two: Counting pillows seems to us to be a grievous waste of time. There appear to be just fewer then the number we require and Leot is assigned the task to continually bring us one more.

Pets: Pets are an abomination on this earth, we abhor them, they eat the flowers, knock over the plants, and dig in the gardens.

Favorite Type of Music: We enjoy most the beautiful sounds of the harp, pipes, or flute. These melodies are intensified when played by shepherd boys in the fields.

Hobbies/Pastimes: Our delight is to lay in the fields with the shepherd boys; watching and listening to them play with their instrument.

Personal Hygiene: One must always look and smell their best, we require a bathe at least once a day, if for no other reason then to remove the lead and tin mixture applied to our body so that we might have it again applied fresh. The fields round London seem to attract themselves to our personage daily. One would hope that others in our presence would do well to learn from our example and bathe more regularly, flowers can only do so much to freshen ones surroundings.

Favorite Food: Cheese is the one true food! We have found that anything served on a stick seems wondrous to us, one of our favorites is meat on a stick. Anything that tastes sweet is a joy to us as well. WE LOVE FRUITS! It would seem unlikely that we could pick a favorite food when we live solely to taste the next morsel.

Are your parents alive, do you get along with them: My father is dead, my mother lives in France and we have not seen or heard from her for several years.

If your parents are dead, when and how did they die: Our father who took ill with the vapors, took mother and our brothers to the south of France some years ago for his health. We rarely received missives from any of them, but about 4 years ago mother sent word that father had died and that she planned never to return to England. We have had no more correspondence since then.

Favorite place to relax: The Royal Gardens are the best place to relax and we can oft be found there, or in the meadows with the shepherds when the mood strikes us.

Favorite Holy Day / Why: Easter is of course our favorite Holy Day, the flowers are in bloom and bedeck the altar of the Church, and everywhere one looks they see the pink and green of growing things. It is truly a glorious time.

Favorite Drink: Honey Meade, it is the gift of God to the sons of men.

What's your bedtime: We understand the words bed and time, but together they offer us no comprehension. When we tire we sleep. Leot continually suggests to us each night that we might indeed be tired, before Leot entered our service we were seldom tired of an evening and oft saw the brightening of the eastern sky before we would retire to our bed.

What, if anything, do you usually wear on your feet: Slippers, made from the softest wool and dyed a delicate shade of pink, are what we most prefer to wear when lounging at Pink Hall. When out in the elements however we must needs wear a heavier slipper made of leather, but still dyed pink or green.

Are you married or single: We are not only single but endeavor to stay that way.

Do you have a family / who are they: Father is dead, Mother and our two brothers are in France. We have heard that mother has borne several children since leaving for France, but as yet we have not met any of them.

Favorite Entertainment: Of all entertainments we enjoy the dance most. The court dances are some of our favorites. We have oft times been spotted dancing with the peasantry as well, so long as they do not appear too soiled and don’t step on our toes. We enjoy dancing with anyone, male or female.

Favorite Subject in School or Chore growing up: Planting the vineyards and flowerbeds was always a task we found pleasing, knowing that we are helping God create beauty that will grow and flower as the fruit of our labours.

Least Favorite Subject in School or Chore growing up: The daily weeding of the gardens was the most tedious, boring, and unrewarding of chores. When we acquired the means to hire others for this task our life was again made happy.

Favorite Sport: We and Master Doublet have created a sport called the Hanky Toss, it is in fact our favorite sport to watch and encourage others to play.

Most Humiliating Moment: Father decided we needed to become a "real man" and so we went to visit Madame Red and her girls. Needless to say, the memory of that occasion haunts us to this very day, and no details need mentioned here. Since then however Madame Red has expanded her repertoire and now the backroom caters to all tastes. Red and her girls are now wonderful friends and if the opportunity arises, during the Harvest Faire, we hope to play with her balls.

Proudest Moment: The proudest moment in our lives is of course the day that Her most Royal Majesty Elizabeth Regina titled us as her personal Florist.

Craziest Person or silliest you know: Giacomo is the silliest and craziest person we know, it is of little wonder he received the appointment as Her Majesty’s Foole.

What do you look for in the opposite sex: The only thing we look for in the opposite sex is money, nothing else interests us.

In our Hierarchical Society everybody has somebody "over" them, Who is your immediate "overlord": Her most Royal Majesty Elizabeth Regina.

Favorite Sport to watch: The Joust is always pleasing to watch, we watch and wait for our knight in armour to show us his prowess.

Do you remember your first kiss: We remember not our first kiss, but there have been many since that we shall never forget.

Do you keep in touch with your childhood friends: As our social status did change since childhood, we are surrounded by others then those we grew up with; how’ere it is always a pleasure to return to Canterbury for the Harvest Faire and reacquaint ourselves with the populace there.

Where is your favorite "Vacation" spot: Vacation is another word that has no meaning to us, we live our life daily as if we were on holiday. We have traveled extensively to search for rare and exotic flowers for Her most Royal Majesty Elizabeth Regina. Several times a year we progress to the south of France to search for our relations, but so far to no avail.

Have you ever been overseas: Oft we have traveled in search of new plants and flowers for Her most Royal Majesty Elizabeth Regina. We have been to Rome and last year we journeyed to the Orient. The New World is so primitive, now that was an experience we would not soon like to repeat.

Do you have Dirt/Mud floors or Stone: Pink Hall has floors of the finest marble with just a hint of a pinkish hue.

What is your bed made of: Our bed has a wooden frame with many ropes stretched end to end and side to side. On the rope is ticking stuffed with eider down and coverlets of velvet and tapestry in winter. Overall are piled pillows so that we feel only softness and comfort in our bed.

How many people sleep in your bed: Many have been in our bed but few sleep there, unfortunately we most oft sleep alone.
