Name Given at Birth: Ilyana Elin Teann are my first and middle names, but I cannot recall my surname
Nicknames: when with the fae, I was called Teann
Hometown or where you were born: none that I remember, the only childhood home I recall is dwelling with the faeries
Current Residence: traveling with Troupe Festival, wherever our performing may lead us
Age: 18 by the faeries guess, but you know how well they deal with the concept of time...
Class: I am gypsy, so by most standards I am lowest of low, but I wouldn't trade this for anything
What do you do, your main function in life/society: I dance and sing with Troupe Festival to earn our supper, but what I most enjoy is the dance
Have you ever gone skinny-dipping / do you know how to swim: swimming is a wonderful way to cool off on a hot summer day, and who wants to swim in skirts and other such binding clothing??
Do you make fun of people: Nay, but I give Nadia a good bit of teasing for not noticing what is plainly under her nose, and Cezar as well because he flusters so easily
Favorite Color: the beautiful red and orange hues found in the late summer sunsets
Have you ever committed or been convicted of a crime: I live a free life, and have been know to take dishes and other such items I fancy
Closest friends/How did you meet:
- *my first friends were the faeries, who took me in when I was a child too young to remember much about where I came from. I lived and learned from them for what they think was 15 mortal years, but they aren't so talented at keeping our time, so that number could be wrong.
- *Nadia who then took me in when Maestro found me while retrieving one of his sons who was venturing too close to the faerie forest. He thought it a good place for me to learn the ways of my own people, while still having the dancing life I so love to lead
- *Luciana is becoming a wonderful companion to teach me what she knows, and a friend to dance with and just enjoy being women on the road
- *Cosmina and Lyanka, who I sometimes think are more interested in winning Cezar out from the other than anything else, but they have been welcoming and I am grateful for that
- *Cezar and Ivan who from our first meeting were happy to have another to dance with (in Ivan's case) and drum for
- *Maestro's sons are becoming ever greater friends to me, one standing out to me especially, but we shall see where time leads us. I look forward to sharing more adventures with all of the brothers
One Pillow or two: we have one bigger pillow to share between the girls, to make traveling and packing less of a chore
Pets: I once had a dragonfly that took liking to me and I named him Nyx, but he stayed with my fae friends, a more fitting place for him than on the winding road I now travel
Favorite Type of Music: give me a strong drum beat or sprite's pipe, anything that has beat enough for me to dance and I will be a happy girl
Hobbies/Pastimes: dancing, to be expected, but I also enjoy gathering herbs and berries and preparing meals for my new friends
Personal Hygiene: dancing about all day can make for a dirty gypsy, so anytime I have the chance, I bathe and keep my clothes cleaned
Favorite Food: I rather enjoy the sweet candies we are sometimes able to trade for, but I can make a nice potato stew and be quite content
Are your parents alive, do you get along with them: I was found wandering in the woods by the fae when I was near three years old, I can remember bits of my life previous to them, but not enough to know where I wandered from.
If your parents are dead, when and how did they die: I remember my mother and father some, and even an older brother, but I know not if they still live.
Favorite place to relax: on the calm shores of any water or under the shade of trees from the forest, but I guess that is because of my faerie upbringing
Favorite Holy Day / Why: each year, the fae have a tradition of celebrating, well everything, and there is much merriment and dance, it is a marvelous time to be with the faeries
Favorite Drink: I am rather fond of the elvish wine the faeries sometimes were given though I must be careful of the amounts I drink, but is quite hard to obtain without the fae.
What's your bedtime: when the drums stop beating and I stop dancing and realize how weary I have become
What, if anything, do you usually wear on your feet: nothing, if I can help it, but for traveling I wear my dream shoes, a reminder of my faerie friends, or slippers
Are you married or single: I am single now, but very much wish to be married one day
Do you have a family / who are they: I consider the faeries my family, as I remember little of my birth family, and now the gypsy kumpania are acting as a family would, giving me a place with them
Favorite Entertainment: I enjoy sitting quietly in the forest and watching the little creatures go about their day
Favorite Subject in School or Chore growing up: dance lessons, both fae and gypsy, are a subject I would learn as much as I can
Least Favorite Subject in School or Chore growing up: it's going to take some getting used to cleaning up after so many boys
Favorite Sport: well, if dancing is a sport, which it is whenever I'm concerned...
Most Humiliating Moment: When I was a young girl, I loved trying to out-trick the faeries, and I was usually pretty good at it. Well I tried to dye Kiangley's favourite skirt bright blue while Tansy was washing clothes, but Flid got excited and knocked the vat over right on top of me! My skin was stained blue for more than a week!
Proudest Moment: when I was deemed a good enough dancer to be able to perform with Troupe Festival
Craziest Person or silliest you know: many of the faeries can be considered crazy and silly, but Tansy is one of the silliest, poor faerie, but she can't help that she forgets everything
What do you look for in the opposite sex: a caring personality that has concern for not only me, but others, too,a love of life that rubs off on those around him, a strong man who will be able to care for a family one day, and a man who knows how to move his body in dance to match my own
In our Hierarchical Society everybody has somebody "over" them, Who is your immediate "overlord" well, Nadia is head of our Troupe, and Maestro over her
Favorite Sport to watch: I like to watch the joust every now and again, but the gypsy boys having a dance-off is a sight to see, those brothers are quite talented
Do you remember your first kiss: who would forget something as meaningful as that?? I like to flirt, that is true, but never more, so don't get the wrong idea about me!
Do you keep in touch with your childhood friends: I try to visit the fae as often as I can, but it is hard with this newfound traveling life and never knowing where I or my faeries will be
Where is your favorite "Vacation" spot: when we travel to distant lands where I have never been, I quite enjoy the new culture we are bound to experience
Have you ever been overseas: nay, but I have herd stories of such from my gypsy friends and I am longing for the time I am able to go
Do you have Dirt/Mud floors or Stone: I have but the floors of the open road, and the vardo, too, which are wood
What is your bed made of: our one pillow, and a nice thick blanket in the colder times
How many people sleep in your bed: myself, Nadia, Cosmina, Lyanka, and sometimes Luchiana
10 Things Everybody Should Know About Me:
1. I live to dance, but that is plain to tell if you watch me during any of our dances.
2.Though I love to flirt, I dream of the day when I shall be married to the man I love.
3.I have a shy side that comes out when I am in big groups of people I don't know very well, but get me into a conversation with just one person and I, and I will open up and talk more, but be willing to ask the first questions to start me talking.
4.I have a fondness for all the creatures of this world, and I can be found caring for them if I find an abandoned nest or an injured animal. These creatures I tend to often become dear friends. For this reason, I choose not to eat meat, but for fish when we can get it.
5.I enjoy learning new ways of cooking and new foods to prepare as we travel the different lands.
6.Rain is the most enticing of the weather for me. I love to watch it, dance in it, and play in it!! But a sunny day is also glorious, as I have little tolerance for the colder weather.
7.I have a liking for making poems and stories, and I am learning my letters so I will be able to write them down and share them, but for now I am content in reciting them to my friends.
8.Living with faeries, I don't have much knowledge of making my own clothes, but it is a skill I would very much like to learn.
9.Sweets and elvish wine are my food and drink weaknesses.. if you want to give me something nice in the way of food, I suggest one of those two items.
