Current Residence: Gypsy Encampment not far from the barbarian’s camp.

Age: 48 or close to that anyway

Class: I am gypsy (self-proclaimed) king of the road. And younger brother to the " Maestro ". A master of merriment sough after by many royal courts.

What do you do your main function in life/society? I have spent the last two years in Canterbury working for my dear brother (harsh taskmaster that he is) and renewing the ties with my brothers and sister’s, nieces and nephews. Although I care not for the intrigues of court, I am sworn to the queen and our own gypsy king. I have done many things in the past. These have included horse trading, gem merchant, herbalist and have offered my services to my brother while in Canterbury.

Have you ever gone skinny-dipping / do you know how to swim: I can swim, but what I really enjoy is a good long soak in the hot springs! Ah natural of course.

Do you make fun of people? Normally no, but since coming to Canterbury I have discovered those Fabulous fops. Where do they get those clothes and those colors?

Favorite Color: Most of them! I am not called the Peacock for naught? From the blackest of night to that wonderful mix of colors at sunrise and sunset, I enjoy them all.

Have you ever committed or been convicted of a crime: No I follow the Gypsy code of honor. I am one of the elders and must help set the example. But I have had a couple of close calls…ask me about them sometime.

Closest friends/How did you meet: I have many friends in the different gypsy bands that I’ve made during my travels. My closest friend of course is my dear mother, my older brother and his family. Oh! I must not forget Rosa Lee she has always given me sound advice and been a close friend.

One Pillow or two: just one

Pets: At this time all I have is the horse that pulls my vardo. I do like cats and dogs and have had them in the past. I have been known to take in strays of all types.

Favorite Type of Music: Why Gypsy music! Of course and again I have traveled to many different lands, listened to many different kinds of music and song. But none entertains better than my older brother does the Maestro and his troop.

Hobbies/Pastimes: I like to watch people! Draw a little. And read a little.

Personal Hygiene: I know I know its not considered healthy, but I like to be clean! I bath at least once a week or at least get wet. A habit I picked in my travels.

Favorite Food: My wife used to prepare a game hen that melted in your mouth, but I have never gotten the recipe just right.

Are your parent’s alive, dos you get along with them? : My father is gone these many years, he died in a fire in the south of France around 1554 I believe, but my mother is alive and well. She is married to a nobleman named Lord Highgate. He is not gypsy, but a good man none the less and I honor her choice and call him friend.

Favorite place to relax: Remember those hot springs I mentioned earlier, or sometimes out of hearing range of the camp and Canterbury when I have not the time to travel to the springs.

Favorite Holy Day / Why: It would be Yule time when family and friends take time off and give presents to each other.

Favorite Drink: Raspberry mead, ale or beer if nothing else is available.

What's your bedtime? After I have finished all the tasks my brother has set before me for the day and checked to see that all is well with the camp, animals and children.

What, if anything, do you usually wear on your feet: Boots, sandals, slippers or bare feet as the need dictates. I have been known to go barefoot around the camp when no one was looking.

Are you married or single? I have never remarried after my Pesha was taken from my side in the winter of 1561. It was a riding accident! We were never blessed with any children that lived. That year is when I started wandering, finally returning to Canterbury in 1572 to work for my brother.

Do you have a family / who are they: Since I have no family of my own I have adopted my brothers and sisters offspring. I am very proud of them all.

Both my brothers and sisters have many children too many to be listed here, but all are loved none the less.

Favorite Entertainment: Watching the town dance or any of the gypsy dancers.

Favorite Subject in School or Chore growing up: Science, reading and writing and tending the animals especially the horses.

Least Favorite Subject in School or Chore growing up: Numbers, but I learned them well before having permanently raw knuckles.

Favorite Sport: Ah that would be the joust and Sir William is my favorite knight.

Most Humiliating Moment: Getting caught kissing one of the horse trader’s daughters when father was trying to get the best deal and the long ride back home afterward.

Proudest Moment: When that same horse trader’s daughter agreed to become my wife.

Craziest Person or silliest you know: The tea duchess

What do you look for in the opposite sex? Clear skin, a comely shape and good teeth.

In our Hierarchical Society everybody has somebody "over" them, Who is your immediate "overlord"? That would be my elder brother "The Maestro"! He sets the daily chores for the family!

Do you remember your first kiss? Ah yes yes I do! it was a young lass from a nearby camp! It was the harvest festival! I forget the name, but I remember the lass

Do you keep in touch with your childhood friends? Except for my brother, I have out lived them all.

Where is your favorite "Vacation" place? Vacation? Shush don’t let the maestro hear that kind of talk

Have you ever been overseas? Yes I wondered all over the world from 1561 when my wife died until I returned to Canterbury in 1570. I have often accompanied various family members on their adventures and business trips.

Do you have Dirt/Mud floors or Stone: wood and a Persian rug

What is your bed made of? It is made of heavy cloth with a wood yoke at either end and suspended between the two walls of my vardo or can be moved outside in good weather and hung between two trees.

How many people sleep in your bed? Just me, but I would share if the opportunity presented it self.

10 Things Everybody Should Know About Me:

1. Although I do not always agree with my elder brother, I carry out his wishes to the letter. Since he is gives me work and provides a place to park my vardo.

2. I can read and write and do sums. I would not want anyone to try and cheat me and I don’t cheat others.

3. I am wealthy, but I have found that not all wealth is golden. I do own my wagon and horse of course.

4. I act as confidante to the children sometimes, always lending an ear, giving advice when asked and even helping the children with difficult chores when they ask.

5. I treat all the children as my own. Of course I treat the animals the same way. I do take in strays.

6. I do care for my brother, but I fear he works too hard and does not relax enough. I encouraged him to see the herbalist.

7. I know how to cook, but would rather be cooked for, as there are more than a few great cooks in our camp.

8. Belladonna and I have traveled together in the Far East on several of her trips.

9. Canterbury is friendly and has become home to me for now.

10. I think I would be most unhappy and lonely if not for the many nieces and nephews that make up my extended family and that I can help care for.
