Martino Boleyn

Martino Boleyn, newest member of the Troupe FestivaleName Given at Birth: Martino Edward Victor Christian George Boleyn II

Nicknames: Martino

Hometown or where you were born: I was born on the outskirts of Canterbury.

Current Residence: Currently I am traveling with the Troupe Festival.

Age: 28

Class: Gypsies are in a class of their own.

What do you do, your main function in life/society: I am a leader of one of my Father’s caravans, and now I dance and sing with the Troupe.

Have you ever gone skinny-dipping / do you know how to swim: Of course, I frequently swim and sometimes indulge in a little bit of skinny-dipping as well.

Do you make fun of people: I did not really tease people until I joined the Troupe. It raises spirits and sometimes tempers.

Favorite Color: Green. I like the color of nature.

Have you ever committed or been convicted of a crime: If I got caught I would not be too much of a help to my father. I am very careful and stealthy at what I do.

Closest friends/How did you meet:

One Pillow or two: I am privileged enough to have two, but Thor usually claims the second.

Pets: My Siberian friend Thor.

Favorite Type of Music: I love the beat of a drum with the sweet sound of gypsy violin.

Hobbies/Pastimes: I like to explore new and unusual things. I am fortunate, for on my journeys I often come about very peculiar objects or beings that I can study and make not of in my journal. I am also studying the gypsy violin that someday I can play for my papa to hear.

Personal Hygiene: I wash my hands and face daily. On days of performance I usually dab in some of my fine scents I have collected over the years.

Favorite Food: My favorite dish has been roasted pheasant. Along with mead it is a rare treat for me.

Are your parents alive, do you get along with them: My papa is alive and well. I do get along with him, for he has trusted me with my own caravan. Unfortunately, my mother passed while giving birth to my twin brother Santiago.

If your parents are dead, when and how did they die: As stated above while giving birth to my twin brother.

Favorite place to relax: My favorite place is on a cliff overlooking the sea while the moon is setting. It is so peaceful and quite. It is an excellent way to end the long work day.

Favorite Holy Day / Why: The Yule holiday. It is the only time during the year that all of the Boleyn family and close friends get together for revelry and quality time with each other. It is also the only time that my papa does not make is son’s work. We have it at the Highgate Manor in England.

Favorite Drink: I would have to say honey mead.

What's your bedtime: When I have settled the caravan and updated my journals. Some nights when I am restless I write letters to my papa keeping him updated on my travels.

What, if anything, do you usually wear on your feet: I sometimes where moccasins or sandals. I very rarely wear anything else.

Are you married or single: I am happily single for now. I am waiting to marry when my papa lets me settle down. I think he is waiting on my other brothers to grow older and mature a little bit.

Do you have a family / who are they: I have a rather large family.

Favorite Entertainment: My favorite entertainment still is watching my brother wrestle for who is doing what chore. It was a fun time for me to be had watching on the side lines.

Favorite Subject in School or Chore growing up: I was always fond of the sciences.

Least Favorite Subject in School or Chore growing up: I didn’t ever like picking up after the livestock. That is the reason I knew to be good so I did not have to do that so much.

Favorite Sport: My favorite sport is archery. The skill it takes to hit a bull’s eye from 100 yards is remarkable.

Most Humiliating Moment: I have many since I have left my papa’s caravan, but I will not let them know of them. The most humiliating that my family is aware of is during a certain revel. It was required that everyone wear masks. The night went on and the mead was poured. Along with the mead, darkness and the mask it was hard to figure out who some people were. I went up to a pretty young las to flirt with, but to my finding after a long passionate kiss, it was a very close friend that I do look upon as sister. We vowed never to speak of it again, and have not done so.

Proudest Moment: I really have two. One was when my papa entrusted me with a caravan of my own. This is a big step and I hope I do not let my papa down. The other is being asked to be in the Troupe Festival. It is a great honor.

Craziest Person or silliest you know: Radu is definitely the craziest. Many say that it is Adonis, but I think that Radu can give him a run for the title.

What do you look for in the opposite sex: I look for large, beautiful eyes that I can lose myself in. I also love long dark hair that I am able to run my hands through, and of course a smile that would stop any man in his track.

In our Hierarchical Society everybody has somebody "over" them, who is your immediate "overlord": My Papa. He gives me tasks to do and I do them.

Favorite Sport to watch: I do like to watch the Joust.

Do you remember your first kiss: Indeed I do. It was during a fire in the Middle East. I invited some ladies in the nearest village to join us. Hours later and many glasses of mead I came to like a certain lass. The kiss was a short kiss for the men of the village found us and took their women back.

Do you keep in touch with your childhood friends: Not as much as I have. Traveling around the world it is even hard to keep in touch with my own family.

Where is your favorite "Vacation" spot: Whenever I get a chance I like to travel to the Caribbean. It is always nice weather and the scenery cannot be beat.

Have you ever been overseas: Many times. It is my job to travel the world to do my papa’s business.

Do you have Dirt/Mud floors or Stone: If it is a nice night I will sleep on the ground, but for the most part I have wooden floors. Since coming from having my own caravan I do have the largest caravan in the Troupe. It becomes very popular in the cold, rainy nights.

What is your bed made of: Of comfortable material that I have acquired during my travels in China.

How many people sleep in your bed: Me and my dog Thor.
