Clef Tune

Name Given at Birth: Treble Clef Tune

Current Residence: My sister and I live with Jocelyn, and her father, the potter, here in Canterbury.

Age: 17, same as my sister Melody

Class: Peasant

What do you do, your main function in life/society: What else would I do, I play my violin with the lovely peasant dancers of Canterbury for the Harvest Faire.

Have you ever gone skinny-dipping / do you know how to swim: Of course I do not know how to swim, only pirates do that...right?

Do you make fun of people: Only my sister when she messes up, or a dancer if they fall down, but all in good fun.

Favorite Color And why?: I would have to say a golden yellow color, for it does remind me so much of the harvest faire, and all the fun it brings, it is also the color of my lovely violin.

Have you ever committed or been convicted of a crime?: Of course I have not, I must uphold the lawful duties of my dead father.

Closest friends/How did you meet: Katarina, and Jocelyn for they were the first people from Canterbury I ever met. We met when my sister and I first arrived carrying our violins, they did introduce us to Goldie and her troupe.

One Pillow or two: One, but that is only when I steal my sisters pillow.

Pets: Well, I once kept a swallow in Jocelyn's barn, and he and I became very good friends indeed. We played music together.

Favorite Type of Music: I would say the music of the Harp, for the plucking of the strings is so pretty.

Hobbies/Pastimes: What else, Playing my violin for the peasant dance troupe.

Personal Hygiene: I never bathe...even though Melody does keep telling me she is going to push me into the swill pond, because I am starting to smell like the pigs.

Favorite Food: Strawberries, when they are in season of course, I like to take them right from the vine and eat them while they are still fresh...oh what I would not give for one right now.

Are your parents alive, do you get along with them: Our father died some years ago. My sister and I do not know anything about our mother for we never met her. We believe she ran away from our father when we were only small children.

If your parents are dead, when and how did they die: Our father died in a violin making accident, he was cutting the wood for the violin, and well....I'll leave the rest to your own mind's eye.

Favorite place to relax: Under a nice shady tree listening to the music of the earth.

Favorite Holy Day / Why:

Favorite Drink: I would have to say ale, for the times I do get to enjoy the sweet of it, I am always with friends, having the most wonderous time.

What's your bedtime: Right after the sun goes...or whenever the dancers want to stop dancing, for how could they dance without music.

What, if anything, do you usually wear on your feet: I nice pair of worn down shoes, those are always the more comfortable.

Are you married or single: I am single, although I do have other intentions, hopefully someday soon I will be married. I am so flirtatious though, I do not think I could ever choose just one lady.

Do you have a family / who are they: Then only family I have left is my dearest sister Melody. Her and I may be two of the closest family members you did ever meet. We never part from each other, unless of course we just got into a rather large tiff with one another, but other than that...

Favorite Entertainment: Watching the Dancers fall down while doing a rather easy jig.

Favorite Subject in School or Chore growing up: I did not attend a school, nor did I have a chore, well I did have to practice all the time, I suppose that counts. Oh and I did have to sweep up all the rosin residue off the floor...ugh! but what was the favorite chore or thing you did as you were growing up: My violin lesson with my father.

Least Favorite Subject in School or Chore growing up: Sweeping up rosin.

Favorite Sport (to do):Fiddle Battling

Most Humiliating Moment: I did once, fall asleep while playing my violin with the court. Everyone stopped what they were doing to see who was snoring, and I was booted out of the ballroom.

Proudest Moment: The day I learned to play my first Irish tune...Irish washer woman, oh do I love that tune.

Craziest Person or silliest you know: I must say Luella for anytime you poke her with only your finger, she will fall over.

What do you look for in the opposite sex: A woman who adores music.

In our Hierarchical Society everybody has somebody "over" them. Who is your immediate "overlord": I must say the maestro for he did hire my sister and I to play for the court.

and How Do You Feel about that person: why of course I like the Maestro, it's his sons I worry about...stealing my coin, well if I had a coin.

Favorite Sport to watch: A good wooing contest.

Do you remember your first kiss: I have never had a first kiss, despite what some sister may say.

Do you keep in touch with your childhood friends: Not anymore for they do all live in Italy, well that is if they are still alive.

Do you have Dirt/Mud floors or Stone: right now the house we live in has wood floors, with clay covering them.

What is your bed made of: Hay, now that the girls make me sleep in the barn.

How many people sleep in your bed: Just myself, and any little animals that like warmth at night.

10 Things Everybody Should Know About Me

Very flirtatious, with the court even, although I should not dabble with women who are higher than me, I just can't help it.

I have a twin sister named Melody Tune.

My father and my other younger sister both are dead. My father of a violin making accident, and my sister of that same accident. ?Tis a very sad story, but too long to say here.

My real first name is Treble, but I go by my middle name Clef.

I play the violin, and beautifully I might add.

I am looking for a wife, and also a husband for my sister, although she tells me she does not want one.

When my sister and I are fighting you may want to stay a bows length away.

I was born in Italy, although I do not remember the language, nor do I carry an accent, funny how things work out.

My mother was said to have run away when we were very young, therefore I do not remember her.

The Peasant dance troupe is my new family.
